As the cost of health care rises, many people are seeking alternative paths to wellness through art. A growing body of research shows that creative expression can have benefits for health, from stress reduction to cognitive improvement.

This summer, CapRadio’s Sammy Caiola is telling the stories of visual and performance artists who use their crafts as a means of healing.
