More California Voters, Counties Opting For Mail-In Ballots

More than 1.4 million Californians already have voted in the state's primary, and when all the ballots are counted it's expected as many as three-quarters of all voters will have used mail-in ballots to make their choices.

All Sacramento County Voters Will Get Mail-In Ballots Under New System

Sacramento County this week is rebooting its election system. Under the new Vote Center system, polling places no longer exist. Instead, voters will be getting ballots in the mail and can return them by mail or at drop-off sites or Vote Centers.

Counties Await State Funds For New Voting Systems

Gov. Jerry Brown is proposing millions of dollars for an upgrade of old voting machines, long sought by counties. The money would come as counties transition to a much cheaper voting system, mostly based on mail-in ballots.
