El Dorado County Ballot Measure Would Link Cost Of Fighting Wildfire To Property Taxes

Under a new ballot measure for El Dorado County, the cost of preventing wildfires would increase property tax bills. A fire district in the Lake Tahoe Basin wants to spend more on wildfire fuel reduction and pass the cost on to property owners.
