Brown Declares State Of Emergency Due To Tree Die-Off

California Governor Jerry Brown has declared a state of emergency because of the millions of dead and dying trees in the state. The drought and a beetle infestation have killed an estimated 22 million trees and that's increasing wildfire risk.

Tahoe Procession Honors Fallen Firefighter

(AP) - Hundreds of people yesterday lined the streets and highways near Lake Tahoe to pay their respects as a funeral procession passed for a 21-year-old Forest Service firefighter killed while responding to a Sierra wildfire.
