Sacramento Third Quarter Hiring Expected To Rise Slightly

Sixty-six percent of Sacramento area employers say they intend to hire between now and September - up about one-percent from the previous quarter. That's according to a new poll of the region's top companies.

Region Loses 5,400 Retail Jobs In January

The Sacramento area unemployment rate in January was 5.5 percent, unchanged from December and down from 6.7 percent a year ago. State data show the seasonal reduction in retail led month-over-month declines.
