A statue of John Sutter outside Sutter Hospital in Midtown was removed today. We’ll hear a report from CapRadio’s Sammy Caiola who spoke with some Native Americans at the scene.

Coronavirus case totals are creeping up in some areas, including Sacramento, Calaveras and Sutter counties. Host Randol White talks to Reporter Nicole Nixon about California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s latest reopening strategy in light of these numbers.

CapRadio’s jesikah maria ross introduces the Rural Reporting Project, which is focused on hearing more rural coronavirus perspectives. And we’ll hear from Plumas County News Managing Editor Debra Moore about the impacts of the pandemic in Plumas County, which relies heavily on tourism but wants to keep its case numbers down.
