The nation is grappling with several nights of protests and unrest in dozens of cities following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis police custody.

President Donald Trump told state governors on Monday in a video teleconference that they need to target violent protesters, and that most governors were ‘weak’ for not aggressively silencing such intense unrest.

It comes as the president looks to rewrite laws protecting big tech and social media companies.

Today we take a look at how weekend-long protests are impacting the landscape of U.S. politics, and what’s to come of President Trump’s social media executive order.

Guests
  • Political Junkie Ken Rudin
  • University of the Pacific Law Professor and Capital Center for Law & Policy Director Leslie Jacobs
