California’s experience with coronavirus is still evolving.

According to the University of Washington’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, the state is projected to reach its peak for COVID-19 deaths this week, with an estimated 66 deaths.

It comes after California reported its first coronavirus case at the end of January.

Lieutenant Gov. Eleni Kounalakis joins us today for a conversation on the state’s efforts against the coronavirus. She’s worked on the efforts to build up needed supplies and bring stranded Californians home.
