Homeless For The Holidays: Homeless Services Around The Region

After a court decision ruling that banning sleeping in public places is unconstitutional, the city of Modesto created this homeless tent encampment.

As the holidays approach, how are cities and counties responding to people who are homeless? Do services change over this season? How does cold weather inform the delivery of services? 

On Insight today, we’ll have representatives from the city and county of Sacramento and the cities of Modesto and Reno. Each will describe the circumstances of people living outside and what services are available to them.
