Sound Advice From Hey, Listen! Host Nick Brunner

There's still two days until playing Christmas music is acceptable, and Hey, Listen! Host Nick Brunner is here to remind you of that.

In this edition of Sound Advice, he brings us the swan song by underheard powerhouse The Glands, plus artists with roots in Sacramento and a track recorded in our studios.

The Glands, an Athens, GA indie rock band, has been quiet for years. They have a reputation of being a band that should be more widely known but for whatever reason is relatively obscure. The Glands were very quiet from the early 2000s on. News came in 2016 of the death of Ross Shapiro, who provided the notable vocals of the group.

Then quickly and quietly came word of a new record. Earlier this month, saw the release of Double Coda and twenty three new songs from the band.
