CPUC President Michael Picker On Regulating Utilities In The Age Of Megafires

The California Public Utilities Commission is charged with regulating private utilities like PG&E so that public infrastructure is safe and reliable across the state. Michael Picker was appointed president of the CPUC by Gov. Jerry Brown in 2014 after serving almost a year as commissioner. He joins Insight to talk about how the CPUC is regulating utilities in light of several wildfires burning across California.
