Sacramento-area water providers are lobbying state water regulators to credit communities using recycled water and adjust for climate when crafting future water conservation targets. The State Water Resources Control Board met Monday to gather input for the potential extension and modification of water restrictions if drought conditions persist into 2016. The Sacramento region is currently saddled with some of the highest conservation targets in the state, which range from 8 to 36 percent. Several water industry leaders from the Sacramento region attended the Water Board workshop Monday. Joining Insight to talk about the regulations leaders are hoping to change is John Woodling, executive director of the Regional Water Authority.
