Berkeley-based violinist Tom Rigney has been called one of the premier blues and roots violinists in the world. In 2011, he was crowned emperor of the Sacramento Music Festival and reigned over a weekend-long party with thousands of his loyal subjects. If you’ve never heard Rigney, he specializes in fiery Cajun blues. You can catch Rigney performing live on Sacramento’s PBS station KVIE March 10. He’ll be performing as part of the station’s fund drive. KVIE will also be airing Rigney’s debut Music Gone Public concert that evening.
