Former Soviet Perspective on Ukraine Lev Kaganovich spent years donning the uniform of the Soviet Union. Now, he’s a proud American living in Fair Oaks. He’s been paying close attention to Russia’s standoff in Ukraine’s Crimean peninsula and knows how badly Russia wants to retain control of the Ukrainian region. He also knows that Ukraine and its European allies can’t afford to lose the Black Sea ports on the Crimean Peninsula. Kaganovich joins us to provide a former-Soviet’s perspective on what’s happening, and how the situation is being depicted in the Russian newspapers he reads.
