April is National Poetry Month and, just for fun, we're asking you to submit a haiku telling us why you love listening to classical music, jazz, or both on CapRadio. Tell us about what you love, how it makes you feel, your favorite time to listen, your favorite artist or composer or whatever else comes to your mind.

Need some help and inspiration on how to write a haiku? Check out these haikus from NPR.

We’ve even written one for you:

Why do you love it?

Music on CapRadio

Tell us in haiku

When you’re ready, write up a poem structured in the haiku’s standard 5-7-5 format.

Post it in our Facebook group, CapRadio Music or email it to us at [email protected] by Friday, April 15.

Your poem may even be read on air on Monday, April 18, in celebration of National Haiku Day. So tune in at 88.9 FM or online between 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. to listen to our favorite haikus.

There’s no wrong way to listen to CapRadio and there’s no wrong way to express your love of your favorite music especially when you get to be creative about it!
