Composer Missy Mazzoli and violinist Olivia De Prato. Photo by Victor Naine.

Sac State’s Festival of New American Music starts tomorrow and while things are going to be vastly different than they have been in any of the previous 42 incarnations, FeNAM’s co-directors Scott Perkins and Tim Stanley are sounding optimistic about what they have to offer. Hear more from Scott and Tim in the 7 o’clock hour about the week-long festival, about new music, and they've even brought some tracks with them of artists and composers who will be featured on programs throughout the week. Also on the show music from Joby Burgess and Powerplant, Flutronix is on the bill as well, and Nico Muhly and Teitur sing a song about sushi.

For the full FeNAM lineup and where to watch, check out the website.
