Updated 5:26 p.m.

Today the Sacramento Police Department released 53 additional videos from the shooting death of Stephon Clark. The videos are available here.

Help us report this story. Tell us If you see something in the videos Capital Public Radio should review.

One of the videos has the audio from the first officers to arrive after the shooting occurred. The officers can be heard calling out to Clark as he lay on the ground. (Warning: the video contains graphic content.)

"Police Department. Can you hear us?" one male officer calls out to an unresponsive Clark. A female officer adds, "We need to know if you're okay. We need to get you medics. But, we can't over to get you help unless we know you don't have a weapon."

Clark was pronounced dead shortly thereafter. The video goes on to show officers performing CPR.

The new videos do not show the shooting itself; rather, they come from the body cameras of the officers who responded after Clark was killed, as well as dashboard cameras from police vehicles. The new release also includes more footage from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s helicopter.

Monday’s release of the secondary videos comes on the 30th day after the shooting — the deadline to release videos of officer-involved shootings under an ordinance the City Council approved in 2016.

Clark was shot and killed by two Sacramento police officers March 18. Three days later, Sacramento Police released body camera and helicopter video of the shooting that showed the officers fired 20 shots.

Since then, protesters have filled the streets of Sacramento, demanding charges against the two officers and changes to police procedures. And an autopsy conducted on behalf of Clark’s family showed that he was struck by eight of the 20 shots, most of them in the back.

The official autopsy from the Sacramento County coroner’s office has not yet been released, nor has the formal investigation into the shooting, which is being conducted by the Sacramento Police Department, with assistance from the California Attorney General’s office.

This story is developing and will be updated.
