Gusty winds have prompted a Red Flag Warning in the northern and western Sacramento Valley and adjacent foothills.
The National Weather Service says dry, gusty northeast winds... up to 35-miles-an-hour over higher terrain.. .along with rising temperatures and low humidity... will lead to critical fire weather conditions.
That means there's the potential for rapid fire growth with any new starts.
The Red Flag Warning will stay in effect until Wednesday morning.
