Lanes Reopen on WB Business 80, Crews Battle Grass Fire

UPDATE 5:27 p.m.: Officials are reopening some lanes on Westbound Business 80 near Exposition Boulevard after a grass fire erupted near the area Monday afternoon. 

The blaze started as an RV fire and later spread to nearby vegetation. 

Motorists are being told to expect delays around the area.

#trafficalert CapCity Fwy at E St. - #1 and #2 lanes open thru fire zone. Watch out for first responders. Expect delays as backlog clears.

Original Post: Crews are battling a grass fire on Westbound Business 80 near Exposition Boulevard Monday afternoon. 

The blaze started as an RV fire, but flames eventually spread to vegetation.

Westbound lanes are shut down. Eastbound lanes are backed up to Highway 50.
