Many events and activities are planned throughout the area over Easter Weekend. We've rounded up what's happening in and around Sacramento through Sunday.

Easter Egg Express - West Sacramento
Happening Saturday, you can take a ride on this two-and-a-half-hour train ride while kids can enjoy fun activities. There will be an Easter Egg Hunt along with a visit with the Easter Bunny. Tickets can be purchased for 10 a.m. or 2:00 p.m. rides.

Kids Easter Celebration with Egg Hunt - Fair Oaks
This event is free for the whole family. Activities include bounce houses, balloon art, face painting, food for purchase, and of course, egg hunts for kids up to the 5th grade. Celebration starts at 10 a.m.

Underwater Egg Hunt - Sacramento
Enjoy Easter activities and an egg hunt in a swimming pool. Southgate Recreation and Park District will be offering a prize for a golden egg. In addition, there will be a special treat for all egg hunters. Participants are encouraged to bring a basket or mesh bag to the event. There will be an open-swim time for egg hunt participants before and after the hunt.

Easter Blast 2017 - Sacramento
This Mission Oaks Recreation and Park District Easter event is for the entire family. Join in for free egg hunts, with 3 age groups available, and carnival games for children up to age 12. There will be magic shows, train rides and a raffle walk throughout the event.

Spring Eggstravaganza - Elk Grove
The annual Spring Eggstravaganza is hosted by the Cosumnes Community Services District Parks and Recreation Department. Activities include appearances from the Easter Bunny and lots of springtime interactive fun, including a new agricultural area. Attendees can also enjoy face painting, pony rides, train rides, petting zoo, inflatable attractions, carnival games and the “egg scramble” for a fee.

Easter River Cruise - Old Sacramento
This Easter, you can enjoy an afternoon with your family on the Sacramento River. Take a one-hour cruise along the river and visit with the Easter Bunny. See where the American and Sacramento Rivers come together to experience the wildlife and breathtaking natural beauty that this historic and important waterway has to offer.
