The National Weather Service reports Friday that the Sacramento area will continue to receive rain for the majority of Friday.
Roads may be slick so caution is advised while driving.
Moderate to heavy snow will occur in the mountains, according to the NWS. The NWS advises that travelers be mindful of potential traffic due to the snow.
The weekend forecast does not call for rain in the Sacramento region.
