Sacramento Fall Festival Roundup 2016

With the abundance of cultural festivals in Sacramento, you can trick your mind into thinking you traveled the world without having to leave the area. We've rounded up fall festivals happening in the region for you to explore. 

American Lebanese & Middle Eastern Food and Music Festival - Our Lady of the Rosary Maronite Catholic Church
Saturday - Sunday, October 8 - 9, 2016
If you want to experience Lebanese culture and cuisine without a trip to the Middle East, try this annual festival. The two-day event includes live music, traditional dance performances, a photobooth with traditional attire and a children's play area, plus tasty food -- tabouli, shawerma, saaj cheese wraps and many other options. 

Sacramento Horror Film Festival - Historic Colonial Theatre 
Saturday - Sunday, October 7 - 8 
This year marks the 10th year of the Sacramento Horror Film Festival. Festival goers have the option of purchasing a one-day or two-day pass to the performances, short and feature horror films and other programming. 

ArtMix Dance Macabre - Crocker Art Musuem
Thursday October 13, 2016 
A DJ, live performances and short films will all be part of this event's entertainment lineup. You can wear your costume and enjoy the "dark art activities" throughout the evening. There will also be food and drinks available for purchase.  

8th Annual Antelope Crossing Spooktacular - Summerhill Plaza 
Saturday October 15, 2016 
Kids can get an early taste of Halloween at this family friendly event in Citrus Heights. There will be live entertainment and many kids activities including face painting, carnival games and a kids costume contest. There will also be food and drinks for purchase as well a raffle tickets.

Day Of The Dead Party - California Museum 
Friday, October 15, 2016 
The grand opening of a new Day of the Dead: Art of Día de los Muertos 2016 exhibit takes place on October 15 and a Day of the Dead Party will be heald in celebration. Exhibit artists Francisco Franco, John S. Huerta, Melissa Jazulin, David Lozeau and Rob-O will make appearances at the California Museum during the event. There will also be food and drinks, a costume contest and a sugar skull workshop. Plus, facepainting and hands-on activities for kids. 

Fall Festival - Folsom Palladio 
Saturday, October 16, 2016 

Hay rides and pumpkin decorating crafts are two of the activities you'll find at this family friendly festival. Festival goers can also enjoy the live entertainment and even play a round of two of pumpkin bowling. 

Sacramento Armenian Food Festival - Trinity Cathedral Great Hall
Saturday, October 22, 2016 
This is another culture festival showing the region's diversity. You can indulge in Armenian food, enjoy the live entertainment and join the dancing at this festival happening in the heart of Sacramento.
