The Sacramento Kings will play in the new Golden 1 Center in downtown Sacramento. The arena is still under construction but hiring has already started for part-time jobs.

The Golden 1 Center in downtown Sacramento isn’t open yet.  But if you’re looking to work there, the first step might be a job fair from 3-7 p.m. Thursday at Sleep Train Arena.

The Sacramento Kings, and other companies that will provide staffing for the new facility, will host an informational job fair for available part-time positions at the Golden 1 Center, according to the Kings.

The Kings say each organization will have various department representatives and hiring managers stationed along the main concourse to meet with applicants during "speed-dating" style interviews.

"It’s an exciting time to be in and around what we’re doing right here in downtown Sacramento," says Kings President Chris Granger. "This once-in-a-generation project will have an incredible impact on the local economy, creating jobs in the heart of our great city."

The job fair will be open to the public and participants are encouraged to bring several copies of their resume. There is no charge for parking.

The Kings say all applicants must be 18 years of age or older, should dress in professional attire.

Hiring managers will be onsite to talk about open positions in hospitality, retail, guest services, security, culinary, janitorial among other jobs.
