Butte Fire Containment Grows To 80 Percent

7:43 a.m. - Cal Fire says Tuesday that fire growth was minimal within the perimeter.

Crews are continuing with mop-up operations to increase containment.

Smoke may continue to affect fire areas and surrounding communities.

The Butte Fire has charred 70,868 acres and is 80 percent contained.
