Deputies: Body Of Missing 6-Year-Old Found, Mother's Boyfriend Arrested

Saturday, May 30, 2015 | Sacramento, CA

The body of a deceased female child found in Glenn County has been determined to be that of missing 6-year-old Jadianna Larsen, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department said Saturday. The mother's boyfriend has been arrested.

Larsen was last seen May 28 at 11 a.m. in her home in the 39000 block of 47th Avenue in Sacramento. She was reported missing by her caretaker who initially said that he had a medical emergency and woke up hours later and could not locate the girl.

That caretaker has been identified as Juan Rivera, 25, of Sacramento.

Authorities launched a search Friday to find Larsen, who was considered to be at-risk. But detectives said they suspended the search and rescue efforts, "as the investigation has determined the body of a female child found deceased in Glenn County to be that of Jadianna Larsen."

The investigation is ongoing and authorities are awaiting more test results.

Deputies said Rivera was booked in the Sacramento County Jail Saturday morning and is currently being held without the possibility of bail. Authorities say there is enough evidence to charge him with murder.
