Sacramento Planners Approve Downtown Arena Design

Friday, April 11, 2014 | Sacramento, CA

Building design plans for the Sacramento Kings downtown arena have received the OK from the city's Planning and Design Commission.

Thursday's decision by the commission means the project can move forward. The next step is for the City Council to review the arena deal.

That's scheduled to take place on May 13th. And the Kings say soon after that, they hope to begin demolition of a section of the Downtown Plaza and start building the new arena.
