Award-Winning Newsroom Welcomes New Hampshire News Director Amy Quinton

Sacramento, Calif - May 16, 2012; Amy Quinton has joined the Capital Public Radio newsroom as State Government Reporter. Quinton is a long - time journalist with several awards under her belt. She comes from New Hampshire Public Radio where she was Environment Reporter and also interim News Director. Quinton will work out of Capital Public Radio's Capitol Bureau with Capitol Bureau Chief Ben Adler.

"I'm very excited to join the award winning newsroom at Capital Public Radio. I look forward to covering state government, politics and policy in one of the most powerful legislatures in the nation. I also plan to have as many photo ops as possible with California's first dog, Sutter," says Quinton.

"Amy's a great addition to our team. She's an excellent reporter with a passion for what she does," says Joe Barr, Director of News and Information. "What's more, Amy's background as an environm ent reporter will be a major addition to our growing environmental journalism initiative."
