Jackson Levin

CapRadio Music Intern

Jackson Levin is a summer intern at Capital Public Radio, working with Al Gibes, Melody Stone and Nick Brunner as a member of the CapRadio music team. Jackson is preparing for his third year at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he studies both English and Music, with a focus in classical trumpet performance. Well versed in both jazz and classical genres, Jackson has performed as a member of the traditional jazz band "Take 2" as well as the UCLA Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Brass Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra.

Jackson loves working in the station, contributing all he can through his writing and passion for music. He hopes to learn the skills necessary to become a top-notch journalist and radio personality, paving the way for a potential career in broadcast journalism. When he’s not in the station, you’ll find Jackson trail running with friends, playing Pokemon, updating his tumblr blog, or listening to his favorite trumpet players, Chet Baker and Lee Morgan.
