Director of Marketing
Chris Bruno joined CapRadio at the end of 2018. Ever since his first day, he has been in awe of the talented and passionate colleagues with which he works, and is continually motivated by them. As the Director of Marketing, Chris is focused on the dual objectives of growing audiences – both broadcast and digital – and inspiring them to become supporters.
Before CapRadio, he spent the better part of a decade building the brand and marketing department of a Sacramento-area consulting firm, which was acquired by a multinational firm in 2017. He also led the marketing and growth efforts at a Bay Area agency focused on legal advertising before making a pivot into the digital publishing industry. Soon after, Chris found his way into public media.
Chris received his bachelor’s degree in Economics and a minor in French from the University of California at Davis, where he was a Davis Honors Challenge student, played in the UC Davis jazz combo and was the President of Theta Xi (Beta Epsilon chapter). He has served as a board member of Yolo Center for Families/Empower Yolo and the Down Syndrome Connection of the Bay Area. Additionally, he founded the Cal Aggie East Bay Network and served on the Chapters Committee for the Cal Aggie Alumni Association.
Chris lives in Sacramento; in his free time, he likes to watch documentaries, read, travel and stay active.
