Bob Moffitt
Former Sacramento Region Reporter

Bob has been telling stories for as long as he can remember. It's a happy coincidence that there is a profession that pays him to do that.
Bob has always had a knack for getting to the truth of the matter and has made a name for himself with his coverage of the Sacramento Kings, flood protection, and life in the Sacramento region. He is also known for his dry humor and ability to find the element in a story that others overlook.
He grew up absorbing California politics by osmosis while struggling with his homework in the back row of the Mariposa County Courthouse on Tuesday evenings. His father, Bill was a county supervisor.
He gained an affinity for the arts from his mother, Betty Lou, who is a concert pianist and award-winning watercolor artist.
Bob is an avid sports fan who has won awards for his stories on the Sacramento Kings, local children who participate in mixed-martial arts, the Sac Republic FC soccer team, and a Sacramento amateur boxer's Olympic aspirations.
Bob has also written numerous articles for local and regional papers, and three blogs while also working as a baseball, football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, wrestling, and boxing announcer.
He met his future bride while they were both in Ms. Duncan's sixth grade class. Twenty years later, they were married. Bob and Joan have two daughters and a son.
