Trashion Show/Salvador Dali Play/Arlo Guthrie/Desario

Trashion Show Fashion is fleeting but doesn't have to be wasteful. Students at Truckee High School have designed and made stylish clothes made of trash. They'll model them at a "Trashion" show this Saturday. Today on Insight, you'll meet four members of the Envirolution Club and hear about their trashion fashions.

Salvador Dali Play "References to Salvador Dali Make Me Hot" is an unusual title for a play. It's a magical-realism piece is about a Latina and her soldier husband and it's set in Barstow. You'll meet some of the actors and hear a scene.

Arlo Guthrie Country music and American folk come from the same roots, but culturally and politically they seem far apart. How did that happen? This was one of the topics in a forum this week at the Mondavi Center with Arlo Guthrie, som of the famous folk singer-songwriter Woody Guthrie.

Desario Some indie rock is very serious, even gloomy. And then there are bands like Desario with a fondness for hooks and melody. They're part of a Sacramento band that's been around for more than five years. Their first album, Zero Point Zero, came out last year and next month, they play the popular Concerts in the Park Friday night series at downtown Sacramento's Cesar Chavez Plaza.
