In 2006, the PTA at the Choir Academy of Harlem (longtime home of the historic Boys Choir of Harlem) asked Kevin Johnson to bring St. HOPE in and rescue the school. (At the time, the city was in the process of kicking the choir out of the academy, citing financial and management problems.) But as this letter shows, the parents' opinion of St. HOPE soured.
