Police Ready For Possible Gay Marriage Protests
Tuesday marks the first time that the Sacramento County Clerk’s Office will issue same-sex marriage licenses. Officials say they’re bracing for a barrage of weddings. Police say they’re preparing to handle any possible anti-gay disturbances.

Big Cuts for McClatchy Newspapers, Including the Bee

, has announced sharp, across-the-board job cuts at its newspapers throughout the country. The

says it’s cutting 86 jobs – 46 from layoffs.
