1955 Flood One of California's worst disasters in the last hundred years was the flood of December 1955. It caused havor across Northern California and killed dozens of people, many of them in Sutter County. After days of unusually heavy rain, a levee in South Yuba City broke. It was just after midnight on Christmas Eve. A wall of water raced across the land and 38 people in the Yuba City area drowned. A documentary about the flood premieres tomorrow at a flood awareness fair in Yuba City. Today on Insight, you'll meed the producer of "The 1955 Sutter County Flood."

"The 1955 Sutter County Flood" will be shown Saturday, Oct. 31 at the Flood Aware/Flood Prepare Fair hosted by the Sutter Butte Flood Control Agency at Veterans Memorial Hall in Yuba City. The fair is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
