Marcos Breton/ Royalties/ Ezell Ware/ John Denver Tribute

Marcos Breton California's state budget is still in disarray. Local cities and counties are making cuts to programs and laying off workers. Today on Insight, we'll talk about all of this and more with Sacramento Bee columnist Marcos Breton.

Internet Radio Royalties Internet radio stations have been battling with the music industry for several years now over copyright payments. The stations faced a huge increase in the rates they would have to pay, rates that their usually much larger terrestrial radio counterparts didn't have to pay. We covered this issue on Insight in 2007 when the dispute came to a head. There's been an apparent breakthrough. Bill Goldsmith, one of the pioneers of the Internet radio business who owns and operates Radio Paradise in Butte County, tells us about it.

Ezell Ware We listen again to an interview with Brigadier General Ezell Ware about being shot down over the jungles of Viet Nam. The long-time Sacramento died recently. This segment originally aired March 9th, 2005.
