The State Worker/David Ostrach/Lincoln Exhibits/Chris Enss

The State Worker You can hardly read or listen to California news nowadays without bumping into various state worker issues: pay, benefits, furloughs, unions and so on. Someone who specializes in covering all that is Jon Ortiz of the Sacramento Bee. He writes a column and a blog both called The State Worker. We'll talk with him today on Insight.

David Ostrach A veteran biologist at UC Davis who's spent years researching fish problems in the Delta has lost his job. David Ostrach says he was fired because the university didn't want to pay what was needed to accommodate his disabilities. What will happen to his research into the collapse of a fish species in the Bay-Delta region?
