Best Use of Biomass?/ Satchel Paige/ Amber Kloss/ Letters

Best Use of Biomass? Would biomass such as corn and switchgrass be better used as electricity than fuel for cars? On the next Insight, we'll talk with UC Merced professor Elliott Campbell about his study that adds another twist to the debate over ethanol.

Satchel Paige One of the greatest baseball pitchers of all time - perhaps the greatest - had to wait until he was 42 to throw out a ball in a major-league park. He was Leroy "Satchel" Paige, the second African American after Jackie Robinson to move from the Negro Leagues to major-league baseball. A new book tells the amazing story of Satchel Paige's life. It's called "Satchel: The Life and Times of an American Legend." Insight guest host Doug Everett talks with author Larry Tye about the baseball legend.

Larry Tye is participating in a discussion about Satchel Paige with Willie Mays, Orlando Cepeda and other old Giants and Negro Leaguers from 5 to 7 p.m. at AT&T Park, San Francisco.

Amber Kloss Actress, model and zombie aficionado Amber Kloss returns to Sacramento for the French Film Festival. We'll talk with her about life in LA.

Letters It's time to check in with our listeners and hear their thoughts on some of the stories we've covered recently.
