California's budget / "Evermore" / Author Spring Warren

California's budget  Over the next 20 years, California is expected to issue over $200 billion of new debt to pay for various public works projects. The annual cost of servicing that debt would likely by more than $15 billion. How much debt is appropriate for California? How can the state prepare itself to pay off all that debt? A new study released by the State Treasurer's office takes a look at these issues. "Looking Beyond the Horizon" came out yesterday.
