Family journey  Meet the Davis family that cycled across the United States this summer to deliver a Climate Change petition to Congress.

For the firefighters  You'll meet Boston-based composer Jessica Locke. She wrote "Reading of the Names: For the Firefighters," a tribute piece to those first responders who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001. Locke also serves as executive director of the Jessica Locke Firefighters Fund, a charitable organization that raises funds to offer alternative health care to firefighters still plagued by illness and post-traumatic stress as a result of the exposure to toxic and hazardous conditions at Ground Zero. She'll be in Sacramento this weekend for the Camellia Symphony Orchestra's "American Heroes and Superheroes" concerts.

"American Heroes and Superheroes," two concerts by the Camellia Symphony Orchestra and the Rosemont High School music department, are at 3 and 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9th at Rosemont High School Performing Arts Center, 9594 Kiefer Blvd., Sacramento. Information: (916) 486-1365.
