Torture / Palace of Stains


Torture  Human rights experts tell you about the devastating impact torture and other cruel treatment can have, and what needs to be done to stop governments and other authorities from relying on it.    

Guests: Chip Pitts, former Board Chair and Treasurer of Amnesty International USA; Nestor Fantini, an Argentine educator and journalist who was tortured in captivity; and Dr. Maimul Ahsan Khan, a visiting law scholar at the University of California, Davis, and author of “Human Rights in the Muslim World - Fundamentalism, Constitutionalism, and International Politics”.

Palace of Stains  Filmmaker Bob Moricz spent one day filming a two-hour long soap opera in Sacramento.  Moricz tells you why he made it, and what other kinds of films has he made.
