It was a Banner Year / Do We Need a Leap Hour?

From issues that face our region to the personalities and culture that make our communities vibrant, Insight was here all year.  Today host Jeffrey Callison updates us on some of the people and stories Insight covered in 2005.

Included: Suzy Applegate, who led the U.S. team to this summer's International Sheepdog Trials in Ireland.  In advance of the competition, Suzy demonstrated her technique live on Insight with her sheep and Border Collie, Bet.  How did they fare?  Also: an update on homelessness in our region, Rio Linda incorporation, creating Black theater in Sacramento, pet cloning, the pending handgun ban in San Francisco, and more.

Leap Hour?  A local professor tells us why a leap second will be inserted into official clocks as 2005 closes.  Also, the controversial U.S. proposal to do away with the leap second in favor of a leap hour every 500 to 600 years.
