The San Joaquin Valley's Political Impact / Quirky Festivals

Political Impact of the San Joaquin Valley  Will the political character of the San Joaquin Valley change with a growing population and shifting demographics? Today on Insight, host Jeffrey Callison speaks with experts about population and political trends in the San Joaquin Valley, and its current and future political impact.

Quirky Festivals  Jeffrey speaks to the author of a unique calendar that focuses on quirky, little known California and Nevada festivals, like the Poison Oak Show in Columbia, Virginia City's 6th Annual World Championship Outhouse Races, and the 9th Annual Fall Tarantula Fest in Morgan Hill.  There are more, but you'll have to tune in to know all!  Jeffrey also speaks with organizers of some of the quirkier events.

This program is part of a week-long collaboration with KXJZ News as we look at life in the San Joaquin Valley.
