California Controller Says He'll Stop Issuing State IOUs Next Month
Controller John Chiang says there's enough money in state coffers to stop issuing the promissory notes and he says anyone with an IOU can redeem them on Sept. 4th too.

State Board Moves To Cut "Healthy Families" Coverage For Thousands Of Kids
The California "Managed Risk Medical Insurance Board" says its running out of money and it will disenroll kids from "Healthy Families" starting October First. Families will get one month notice.
