Police And Schools To Fight Truancy
More teenagers are skipping school in Sacramento and police say for many kids truancy is the gateway to crime. On Tuesday, police and city school officials are opening a new Student Attendance Center to fight the problem.

Ordinance Would Keep SRO Residents Housed
All the downtown redevelopment in Sacramento is pushing out some of the low-rent hotels where many of the city’s poorest residents live. City Council members Tuesday will consider a new plan to make sure those residents don’t end up homeless.
