Genocide eyewitness Brian Steidle is a former Marine captain who served as the United States representative on the African Union's peacekeeping mission to monitor the conflict in Darfur. Today he tells you what he saw in Darfur and what can be done to end the violence. Steidle has documented the genocide in a collection of hundreds of photographs. Some of his photographs appear below.
