On Friday, officials kicked off an incentive program called “Think, Shop, Live Elk Grove.” Consumers who shop at city businesses can enter to win a grand prize of two-thousand dollars.
Finance Director Rebecca Craig says now more than ever it’s important for Elk Grove residents to get behind their local business community.
“Not only because of the sales tax revenue which is a very direct result of it which supports the local services that are provided by the city but to maintain employment in the city, to keep our small businesses open and to keep our economy strong.”
Craig says as part of the incentive program…consumers who spend at least $500 on taxable sales between Friday, November 27th and December 31st at Elk Grove businesses can redeem their receipts at City Hall for a $50 gift card. Elk Grove tried a similar program at its auto mall earlier this year…as did the City of Tracy.
