But turnout is light so far at a County Assistance Center

Placer County officials are hoping more people will show up to their One Stop Assistance Center in Auburn. The center was opened to help homeowners and businesses get back on their feet with easy access to federal, state and private agencies. Turnout was light Tuesday, but among those who came were Jack Kenny and his daughter Dawn.
“We wanted to see what was available what they’re going to do so we got a lot of help…you know like the demolition permit and get the process moving to get our house rebuilt so we’re in the process.”
The Kenny’s home, where they’d lived for 25 years, was destroyed in the 49 Fire. The One Stop Assistance Center will stay open from nine-am to nine pm through Thursday at the Placer County Government Center on F Avenue.
