Executive Director Darcy Brewer says they still need about 300 people.
“We could use people in the areas of welcoming through the gates and admissions, hospitality for kids and for VIPs, we’ve got some areas for the care and feeding of our volunteers that are currently with us. I think the show’s going to require about 1,000 volunteers for the weekend.”
The last big recruitment push is this week. Prospective volunteers can sign-up at Rancho Cordova City Hall Thursday night at 6:30 PM.
The Thunderbirds and another jet team called The Patriots are headlining this year’s airshow. It’s on September 12th and 13th at Mather Airport.
That’s several months later than previous years. Last year’s event was in March and featured the Blue Angels.
