Laura Ling's Friends Anxiously Await News from North Korea

That’s because North Korea’s highest court found them guilty of an unspecified “grave crime” against the nation.  As the State Department attempts to bring the two journalists home safely, Laura’s family and friends wait – anxiously.

Capital Public Radio’s Ben Adler spoke with two of Laura’s childhood friends Thursday afternoon: Cheryll Marsh and Stephanie Tomasegovich. They grew up with Laura; they've been friends ever since they first met at Barrett Middle School in Carmichael 20 years ago.
