Larry Gilmore is with the group hosting the free event: Hope Now, a coalition of national mortgage lenders. 

He says about 20 lenders will be on hand, meeting face-to-face with homeowners and coming up with payment options.

“And that can be reducing the interest rate on the loan, extending the term of the loan with the ultimate goal of lowering that monthly payment where it’s affordable over the long term for that family so they can keep their home.” 

Gilmore expects anywhere from 600 to 800 homeowners at Thursday's workshop, which is also part of Governor Schwarzenegger’s 90 Days of Hope task force. It’ll be held from 3-9 PM at the Sacramento Convention Center.
